Title: Accented Spanish and Sugar
Author: Hazel-Beka
Rating: M
Summary: When they first met, England lied to him, and as he grew older, England invaded him, fought with him, stood up for him and slowly fell in love with him.
Pairings: Cuba/England

This was originally written for the Hetalia Kink Meme with the requester asking for rare-pairs. Hazel-Beka surprised the meme with Cuba/England and wrote it to make the pairing seem more possible.

This is definitely well written! :D

Stitches by LolliDictator

Title: Stitches
Author: LolliDictator
Rating: M
Summary: Someday I won’t be able to stitch you back up. // Don’t leave me, Iggy.
Warnings: angst galore, horror, constant suicides, messed-up romance, dubcon, necrophilia, character death, and all sorts of other social no-no’s ;)
Pairings: America/England, France/England

The total mood of this fic is just way beyond creepy and sad. But it’s the good kind creepy (if there is one)

The characterisation is also wonderful and it’s just so heart-quenching. and the ending was great, too! Definitely made me go asdgkjdgj in real life.

Definitely a good read.

Better Left Unsaid by crimson-obsidian-rose

Title: Better Left Unsaid
Author: crimson-obsidian-rose
Rating: K+
Summary: Romano is not Rome’s favorite grandchild. He is not Veneziano. But maybe he’s blowing this a bit out of perspective; after all, he doesn’t know how Rome actually felt about him. Also known as the fic where we find out how Rome felt about Romano.

This is quite heartbreaking. Reading this gave me a new head canon about not only the origins of new nations, but also the relationship between the Italies, especially Romano, to their grandfather, Rome.

The characterization is also spot-on! :D

Doublecross by Canadino

Title: Doublecross
Author: Canadino
Rating: T
Summary: I am a liar, and nations are built on lies. I want Italy’s heart, I have Italy’s heart, and I scorn Italy’s heart.
POV: 1st Person (Spain)
Pairing: Spain/Italies

The writing style Canadino used in this is absolutely wonderful! This whole fic is a paradox.

There is a double meaning behind Spain’s words, and the reader has a choice on how to interpret it: figuratively or literally.

This piece perfectly shows Spain’s two-face-like qualities.
